Welcome!

Welcome to the home page of John Nelson - scientist, engineer, designer, gamer, biker, entrepreneur and just all around swell guy. Professionally, I design and develop software for a living. I'm also owner of my own IT consulting business, and co-founder of a local Internet web hosting company. I'm a masters candidate at George Mason University and am currently finishing up my thesis project (an evolutionary computation approach to protein folding). I'm a member of a number of technical/professional organizations including the Society Of Market Technicians where I apply technical analysis and other analytics to the trading of stocks and other vehicles.

As a child of the space age, I grew up with interests in biology, space and aviation, computer science and a number of other technical interests. Maybe I'll be a scientist when I grow up. :-)
